Let me start off by saying this: You don’t owe us anything. The modding community for STALKER is thriving and its fueled on passion, as it should be. We, the MISERY development team, have a big heart for the STALKER series and everything we’ve made and done is because we love what we do. Some of us have even secured interesting jobs in the gaming industry through this hobby. Friendships have been established and we have all learned and developed our skills because of invaluable feedback from many of you. Sharing our mods and files with the whole world has certainly been the right choice for us! Most of what we’ve presented to the world has been free and strictly hobby-based. But since we (Misery Dev. Ltd) has also had commercial activities we’ve also had an obligatory annual accounting. Running Misery Dev. Ltd as a real company has allowed for so much more than what is strictly hobby based. But unlocking this potential also comes at a cost in relation to hosting, website upkeep, promotion, formal administration, annual accounting and a few other things. Since 2013 all of these costs have been covered by team lead (me), N.Aaroe; out of my own private pockets. This is not a sob story or to appeal to your pity, it’s just info. Financially, Covid-19 has emptied the cup for me and put me in a position where I am no longer able to cover these monthly expenses. Donating specifically for a STALKER mod is not allowed; but you can still support MDT with a small donation to help us cover the monthly expenses and to help us preserve our websites, hosting, online data storages and to remain an actual company, which enables us to do keep doing actual commercial and business activities.
